WVP FUND MANAGEMENT JSC Skopje

A management company for open-end and closed-end investment funds, established on 13.08.2014, which began operations after obtaining approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Republic of North Macedonia under Decision No. UP 1 08-67 of 19.09.2014. Registration with the Central Registry of the Republic of North Macedonia was completed on 25.09.2014. The Company is established for an indefinite period.

The Company’s paid-in capital is EUR 525,000.00, divided into 525,000 ordinary shares with a nominal value of EUR 1 per share, in denar equivalent at the National Bank of North Macedonia’s middle exchange rate.

The Company’s dominant shareholder is WVP Insurance Brokerage Company JSC Skopje, holding 65% of total ownership capital.

What is the governance system of WVP FUND MANAGEMENT JSC Skopje?

The Company has a one-tier governance system — a Board of Directors. The term of Board members, per the Company’s Articles of Association, lasts 5 years from the date of appointment. The current composition of the Board of Directors is as follows:

  • Petar Andreevski – Chief Executive Officer;
  • Andrijana Popovska – Executive Director;
  • Rupert Strobl – Chairman of the Board of Directors / Non-executive Board Member
  • Blazhe Petreski – Non-executive Board Member;
  • Stefan Willi Seibel – Independent Non-executive Board Member

The Company is a shareholder in investment-fund management companies in the Republic of Albania, the Republic of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and the Republic of Bulgaria. The Company’s ownership share is 49.5% of share capital in Albania, 30% in Serbia, 25% in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 25% in Montenegro, and 37% in Bulgaria.

Since its founding, the Company has earned the trust of a total of 10 financial institutions, has built joint products with 3 highly successful insurance companies — 2 Austrian and 1 regional — and has become the undisputed leader in assets under management from Unit-linked products in the Republic of North Macedonia. Within just a few years, the Company has broken into the top 3 management companies by AUM in North Macedonia and held over EUR 237 million under management as of 31.01.2026.

At a global level, the Company employs more than 500 people responsible for various tasks. Over the years, the human capacity directly involved in the WVP Group has successfully contributed to changing the world of finance and investing as an industry.

What does the Company do?

The investment-fund management activities performed by the Company are:
1) management of the investment fund’s assets;
2) marketing of investment funds and the sale of units in open-end investment funds or shares in closed-end investment funds; and
3) administrative duties relating to:
– keeping business records and accounts and preparing financial statements,
– establishing and maintaining relations with investors, – determining the value of the investment fund’s assets and calculating the unit price,
– ensuring the management company’s operations comply with laws and other regulations, – disclosures and notifications to shareholders and unit owners,
– distribution of the investment fund’s profit,
– issuance and redemption of units in open-end investment funds; and – maintenance of the register of unit owners (or shareholders).

The Company is licensed to perform asset management on behalf of an individual client — a portfolio owner — as well as to provide investment advisory services to clients, pursuant to Decision No. 01 UP 08-40 of 28.04.2017 issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Republic of North Macedonia.
